JAQUEMTB NEWS #8 - 2006

The week went by fast and the 3rd World Cup is nearby!
We spent some days in France recovering from the race last weekend and doing some quality workout. This is a very delicate phase were the body has to recover fast and the intensity must be kept, but not overdone. We are now in Malmedy, a small village in Belgium, 10km from the Spa-Francochamp race Circuit. The start line will be exactly the same as the Formula 1 and promises to be a muddy race, since the circuit is very wet. This course is quite technical and, in some parts, it is impossible to ride on the bike. The rain here is non stop and I think the race will be a bit different, where the winner will be the one who survives with no mechanical problems and who runs better, a bit like cycle cross races and for sure the course was made for the Belgian athletes.
